This utility is provided to help you generate your product order form and secure payment form, with no knowledge of HTML required.
ShopForm calculates the value of the customer's order, including shipping and tax charges, thereby eliminating user error and improving their ordering experience.
Setting up ShopForm
ShopForm works by giving you three data entry screens where you set up your products, tax and shipping options and page colour and layouts. It produces a custom Buy Page listing your products, their associated prices and options, from which the customer makes their selection. This is followed by a Payment Page detailing the customer's selected products, and displaying the fields to capture information required to complete the transaction such as credit card details etc.
As well as the name and price of the product, ShopForm also allows the entry of two options.
An example use for this would be the size and colour of the product. You can then specify up to six different choices for each option. These are presented to your shopper as drop down boxes and are recorded with the transaction.
Shipping and Tax Setup
Tax
Tax can be charged on the customer's order if required at a standard rate, or based on regions (See Below).
Shipping
Shipping can be charged at a standard rate or based on regions. It can also be based on the value of the order or the quantity of the products ordered.
Regions
You can specify up to six different regions eg. UK, Europe and Rest of the World, and the charges for dispatching the product to each region can be altered accordingly. This allows your overseas customers to see the correct shipping and tax charges for their region.
Company Info
Both the Company Name and the Company Logo are included in both the buy and the payment page.
Colours
Colours can be specified for the text, page background and two different table backgrounds.
Custom Text & HTML
Custom text and optional HTML can be defined for the top and bottom of both the Buy and Payment page. This can included any information such as instructions or menu links.
Credit Cards
As well as Visa and Mastercard there is the option to display your accepted Credit and Debit cards such as Switch, Solo or Amex. These will be displayed in the card drop down on the Payment page.
Page design customisation
For the more experienced designer the option to design custom templates for the ShopForm utility is available.
Simply use the utility as normal setting up your Products and Tax / Shipping options, then upload your amended ShopForm templates to your login area. Your products will be displayed in your custom templates.
There are two templates - " sfbuy.html " the page where products are displayed, and " sfpayment.html " the form where the customer enters payment information.
We recommend that only users with knowledge of HTML customise the templates. Telephone and email support on template customisation is only provided to users on the eCOM Standard service.
